Theodosia is the Ash Princess. Her kingdom was claimed by Kaiser by murdering her Queen Mother in front of her eyes, when she was only six. And from there Theo was just a prisoner in the castle. Theo suffers beatings when there is a smallest hint of rebellion in the kingdom and only thing she wants is to survive and not to feel anything.
One day when a prisoner is dragged into the court who is called the leader of the rebellion, Theo is asked to be present in the court. But the prisoner calls Theo his queen and Theo remembers him, remembers that she played with this man when she was a child. She has a nagging feeling that he is her father. But Kaiser orders Theo to kill him and with no other option she does it, unleashing the rebel in her.
She plots and plans. She is suddenly aware of rebels that are around her and never saw. There is magic and non-stop action. A very fast read, spell-bounding and brave-smart-princess as a heroine.
